Wear-Con WC500™ 500 AR Plate is specially designed to reach a nominal hardness of 500 AR with its hardness increasing at the center. Built-in strength and through hardness gives WC500™ exceptional resistance to both moderate impact and sliding abrasion. Due to its fine-grained structure, WC500™ works well in applications requiring forming, and will last up to 5 times as long as mild steel.

Installation

Wear-Con WC500™ can easily be welded with a low-hydrogen rod such as AWS spec. E-7018.

Technical Specifications

Wear-Con WC500™ provides premium sliding and moderate impact resistance with a hardness of 477 - 555 BHN, a yield strength of 190 ksi, a tensile strength at 250 ksi, and elongation at 12%.

Sizes

Wear-Con WC500™ is available in thicknesses from 1/8” to 4”.
