Wear-Con's Wear-Bow
The self-cleaning
Wear-Bow resists wear naturally. By design, material flowing through the
Wear-Bow accumulates in the 'pocket' or impact zone and moves slowly upward
and out. Incoming material is deflected at 90 degrees, with minimum
resistance and no impact damage. This design eliminates the problems
inherent to typical elbows, where the high friction of the material passing
over the outer wall causes unnecessary wear and reduces the overall life of
the elbow. Wear-Bow requires the material to air-flow ratio to not be below
3:1. |

1 Material accumulates in the 'impact' zone
and serves as a natural barrier. |
2 Incoming material is deflected, with
minimum resistance or impact. |
3 Wear-Bow self-cleans as material no
longer enters the flow path. |

Wear-Bow is aerodynamically designed with a cross
section that widens and narrows again to prevent product degradation and
wear on the Wear-Bow

Wear-Bow installation on a silo. Note how the orientation
of the Wear-Bow can vary and that the space required is far less than
for a standard long radius elbow.
